10/10 Review for this product! 1. Package came in a day early (inner nerd was excited) 2. The box didn?t seem like it was dropped kicked 3. The package came in a thick anti-static bag which you?ll be surprised how many other companies don?t do that 4. The contents were in a secured shipping position so no rattling around at all and lots of bubble wrap 5. It booted right up and have been using for about two months and no problems what so ever 6. Has enough storage room of 2TB on it to store 1 HD photo of a fat chick with a great read rate 7. Will order this product again but get the 4TB next time

A good HDD for cold storage. Should be used for photos or other infrequently accessed stuff where speed does not matter. Get an SSD where speed matters

Easy installation. Ran a full format that took 7 1/2 hours. No bad sectors. Excellent and affordable large scale storage. Write performance is good too. Wrote two disc images totaling over 500 GB in 37 minutes. Far out performs the old HDD storage disk that I had.

This is just what I wanted. I'm using these for backing up my external drives, so nothing complex, but it's all I need. I've only had them for a couple of weeks, so I can't say anything about their longevity. And I wish they came in some kind of case so I could store them.

I definitely recommend 10/10 and have actually recommended to my buddy who wants to build his own computer. It’s a great drive that has a lot of storage for a really competitive price. It is very compact and fit perfectly in my pc case. The only thing I’d dislike about it is that I wish both of the SATA cables were the same in regards to the connection part being both flush with the cable. One of the SATA cables is arched in a way to I guess be easier to mount in harder spots, but for me was more of a burden. Overall I love this drive and am very happy with my purchase!

I have been looking for a source for medium capacity 7200 RPM drives for production and archiving. This item really fits the bill. for 99 I can get 4 tbs when ever in need more for archiving large amounts of video tape based footage.

BarraCuda 4TB is 7200RPM. It's good performance for storage and App drive. I have M2 SSD for main OS drive and core apps and this BarraCuda 4TB is used for App and storage as making 2 partitions. Great price and 4TB big capacity is Good to buy.

It's thinner than the previous drive I was using, the ST4000DM005, so it does not sit right in my HDD dock (Thermaltake BlacXDuet). Very loose once inserted so not comfortable with using it in a dock.
