Pocket wizards are reliable tools the only complaint is all the plastic parts. Wish they were a little more sturdy. Adorama on the other hand is Amazing never any issues with them.

Ok, so I bought this thing to trigger my new Bowens 500r two-light strobe kit (search out the kit on Adorama's site for my review of that product). After purchasing the Bowens kit, I found the proper radio card/antenna on Amazon and ordered it separately. When everything showed up at my house, I plugged the card into one of the lights, put this little yellow gem on top of my 7D and started shooting. Ridiculously easy. I will qualify this review by stating that my knowledge base is still expanding, and I've not yet experimented with the full capabilities of this unit. For now, it's firing my strobes FLAWLESSLY - something that is brand new to me after remotely firing speed lights from a much lesser-quality (and less reliable) triggering system. I'll be shooting my first wedding 9 months from the day of this review, so there's time to practice =) The investment here is minimal compared to the peace of mind this unit provides - highly recommend.

I love using the Pocket Wizard Plus 3's that I've purchased. Their ability to communicate with each other and to automatically recognize whether to receive or to transmit was one of the main features I bought them for. Photograph is my passion and my hobby, and I'm always looking for ways to be more creative and to incorporate as menu tools as I can into that creative realm. These PW+3's have freed me up as a creator, allowing me to be able to direct my models and to be more hands on in the movement and placement of my lighting creativity as well as freedom to move and place my subjects as I'm no longer tethered to the camera- as the PW+3's function as remote camera triggers as well! I DO HIGHLY RECOMMEND any creative thinking photographers who are looking for ways to up their game to go ahead and purchase the Pocket Wizard Plus 3's ! It's an “assistant" that already knows what to do! THANK YOU ADORAMA!

We purchased this Pocket Wizard to power our Dynalite power packs and it's everything the description said it would be and more! It connected to our packs in less then 10 seconds with a super fast/ instantaneous refresh rate and above all else it's super reliable. I can turn it on in the morning and expect it to fire each every time!

I have only used it for nearby situations. I suppose the best test would be to trigger lights across a big room or in another room. But I have used Pocket Wizards for that in the past with good results

Why doesn't it have an auto shut off feature!!! I go through a lot of batteries because the thing won't shut off after a while. It should have a one hour auto shut off!

These are great. They are reliable and just work. The package contains cables that cover most possible usages. The only little gripe I have is that the batteries fit very snugly and sometimes I need a tool to take them out. Otherwise great triggers

I use this (& other Plus 3's)to trigger strobes that I have had in inventory for years. I have two Nikon strobes that are close to 20 years old & a couple of studio strobes about that same age that work perfectly with these products. I am currently doing environmental portraits & combining the studio & Nikon strobes (flashes) & getting great results.

Finally bought a few Plus X a little while back for my two cameras and two packs (I sometimes shoot with two of each). Loved having them. Have another set of mono lights I use for portraits at another location. Bought these to use and better control the mono lights (hard getting to the hair light so the III should work well for that).

I purchased one plus lll and my intent was to use them with my TT5/TT1. I contacted PocketWizard and they were so Helpful and they practically held my hand walking me through the set-up. I am able to shoot on the go using the TTL settings or i can take my time in manual and shoot all day with the same settings by switching between configuration 1 & 2. I also have the option of 3 Transceivers TT5 & Plus lll and while shooting with my TT1 which is the best part of it all. The folks at PocketWizard are the best and I love the fact that you can interchange your units and you dont have to sell your old units.... I love it.

These work great for both studio and on location multiple light setups. My only gripe is for this price the fact that the hot shoe bracket is brittle plastic is a bit of a let down. These don't seem like they would withstand much of an impact if something should happen, as we all know can with on location environments and guests/clients who have had a little too much to drink. I Would have expected a more rubberized exterior and metal hot shoe bracket.

I shoot often in studio with a photography group and usually have several photographers all shooting at several stations setups. The multi channels on the PocketWizard III ensures that I can find a channel to shoot on without interference from other photographers. The button layout is easy to understand and the LED readout is bright enough to read without my reading glasses.

I believe this to be the best Pocket Wizard unit that they make. It is affordable with great features. I use it mainly to control my Profoto lights with my Nikon D7000, but also to control My D700 with my D7000 and use it with my Sekonic 758Cine.

Choosing plus iii for the additional radio channels for just in case situation that all the original channels are occupied in a large event. But it is an unheard situation at least to my own knowledge. I have two plus iii and will consider to add another two plus x to my setup.
