I am happy with how this operates but this is my second one and the shoe is broke on both of them.  I'm not sure how it's happening but I'm guessing it's some sort of defect of this flash since none of my other flashes are having these issues.

Happy but shoe breaks

This flash was very handy until I showed up for a job with what I thought was a charged battery - said fully charged in the charger and in the flash, but as soon as I started using it the battery went to zero and it refused to fire. It now does only this - full battery for a few seconds, then zero and refuses to fire. I carry backup batteries for my cameras and things like AD200s, but the whole point of this flash is to be able to carry a small kit. I'll never go through a full battery on a job so for me if I charge the battery and it says fully charged, I need to be able to trust it. So now what - I order a new battery, and if it doesn't fix the issue then I'm stuck with a useless battery?
     I got several hundred fires from it on the job before it died, so it's not like the battery was slowly deteriorating - one day it worked, I used it, fully charged it, the very next day it did not work, and not only did it give no indication that something was wrong, it indicated that everything was fine. Giving up on this thing for now.
     When it did work it worked well, although switching from on-camera to wireless secondary was much more annoying than it needed to be - my solution was to use it on top of the Flashpoint R2 single-pin controller and leave in in wireless, if I need to hand-hold I just take it off the controller's hotshoe and it's already set to go. At 1/8 and 1/16 you get decent recycle time, but be prepared to wait 5-10+ seconds if you need multiple full-power fires (yes, of course carry a bigger flash but sometimes you just end up in a situation where you want to push it). Great in theory just going to be hard to trust from now on.

Was great when it worked

The Flashpoint Zoom-Lion Mini R2 for Sony Mirrorless cameras arrived in great condition, especially for a used piece of equipment. It functions exactly as needed, delivering reliable performance and versatility for my shoots. It's a solid, compact flash that integrates seamlessly with my setup.

Solid compact flash

Bought it for a on camera fill flash for travel and it works perfectly for that task. Use a micro 4/3 Olympus and this is a perfect size - and offers plenty of control. Good battery life.

Perfect size for travel

Works great but unable to update firmware so that it will work with newer Nikon cameras. (Z7II and newer) Unfortunate, as it is a great, small flash.

I've been using a Flashpoint TT350 for several years, bought the V  version 4 months ago. Because of its size I carry it in my camera bag  where ever I go. I have other larger speedlights an AD 200 and a 400 watt strobe, but the TT350 is my most used light. I use it for fill flash, bounce flash at home events, food photography, and still photography.
The only gripe I have is that the guide number is exaggerated by approximately 2 stops. At 10 foot using 1/1 power f8 is nearly perfect exposure according to the histogram. Because of how I use the light I'm not bothered by that issue. It's a great light just don't expect it to over power the sun. Work within its limitations and you won't be disappointed.

Small form factor, inexpensive, travels well

It is a great beginner flash. It feels more advanced in quality but a lot cheaper.

Currently there is apparently no firmware upgrade that allows this unit to sync properly with the Nikon Z7ii, Z6ii in TTL mode. This is totally unacceptable. There is only ver. 1.0 which syncs with the Z7, Z6

Wow. Great flash! It's the battery. The battery gives you 500 instantaneous flashes per charge. Phenomenal. TTL is fine, works great. Perfect flash for handheld close-up photography. Don't hesitate. Buy one. Now.

Oh, Just Buy It Already

Compact, powerful enough, easy to use. Great!

Best compact flash for Fuji. Recharges very quickly and has plenty of power, especially with fast primes at F2 or greater. I've moved on from Fuji this year, but using this I was never able to run the battery outa at a wedding. And it's just tiny!

The big gotcha is that I wasn't able to trigger it with my normal Godox triggers. I expected it would, but didn't. I'd love to still be able to use it as a tiny slave to throw on a clamp, but alas, it doesn't seem to work. Hence the four stars.

this speedlight flash is compact, light and easy to travel with it. flash power is not the strongest, but strong enough in its' size and class. the battery life is quite impressive.

I have another Flashpoint flash but it?s a manual one. I was interested in this because of the smaller footprint and TTL functions. 

I?m just a hobby photographer but so far it has been great. Everything functions as it should and I?m enjoying practicing with this on and Would definitely buy again!

TTL flash for Fuji

Haven't used it yet but it looks like a good beginner flash. Maybe not on par with the best but good entry level at a good price (it was part of a camera system package so I didn't purchase intentionally).

This is a great product. Holds the charge for a long time. Perfect for Fuji X series cameras.  Fits in my camera case well. Comes with a diffuser and stand and easily can be radio controlled.

Great item for the price I got it

I've used this only once or twice. It seems to work fine with my Panasonic GX9. With such a small camera, a full-size flash would make it very top-heavy and look disproportionately large. I really like the lithium battery option. It holds a lot more juice and takes away the concern about having to switch batteries and carry around spares.

Works fine on my X-T2 & X-T30. Had the 860vii initially and was just to big for my gear.

Awesome product highly recommend

This little unit is almost perfect for the price.  Having a compact, RF trigger/flash on camera is great for weddings and long events like bar mitzvahs where a long day makes camera gear heavy.  Being able to control 3 groups (Nikon) or 2 groups (Canon) with it is key.  I rarely ever need more.

It loses a point for a flimsy hot shoe mount.  All it takes is a small hit from a dancing guest during a reception and the foot breaks.  I've broken every one at least once (I own 3). Other photographers I know have had the same experience, so it's not just me.

Also, the interface seems like it wasn't designed by a practicing photographer, but more like an engineer with no practical, day to day experience actually USING this stuff under pressure.  But whatever, if it was designed to my specifications somebody else would complain.  Having the reliability and longevity of a lithium ion battery totally cancels that gripe.  Gone are the days of having my batteries poop out mid-hora.  These things keep popping all day and night!

Either way you cut it, these are great little units.

Good flash.

Until this purchase (Dec 2019), the only flash I ever used was a built-in pop-up flash.  This one is much more powerful and flexible.  I like that it can tilt and swivel so you can bounce light off a wall or ceiling.  No more flat-face deer-in-headlight redeye look.  I can finally shoot indoors as night. It also has TTL, which mean it electronically mates with my camera for correct exposures. 

This mini flash is considerably smaller than standard units but is still almost as big as my micro 4/3 Olympus pen 8.  It does not have enough power to light up a large room. I haven't experimented with with the zoom feature (which may help) or any of its other features.  Being a beginner, I just leave it in auto mode (full power ?).  With its Lithium battery it cycles fast and will not run low before you do.

For best photos indoors at night it would be best to use a 2nd flash.  Or, come to think of it, use this one with its slave feature triggered by the tiny pop-up flash included with my Pen 8.  Should be fun to try out that combination as long as I am not to close to the subject.  Nobody likes to have their eyes flashed.
