I love my new Nikon lens - it's easier and a little lighter than the one I am replacing with it. The pro-kit has some very useful products in it, too. I did not receive all of the items in the kit, though. I didn't receive the focus shifter or the Vivitar lens kit. I think they are back-ordered, and hope to receive them soon. I've made purchases from Adorama before and have always been satisfied with their service.

I like this lens a great deal. I bought it after a very disappointing experience with the Nikon 18-300. Using this new 70-300 lens with my Nikon D5300 required that I update the firmware in the camera. That was quite easy. My initial walk-about today with this camera was a joy. Very fast and accurate autofocus, even looking through branches at birds. There was just one instance where a large weed was between me and a bird and was swaying in the breeze. I lost the focus on the bird once, but moving just slightly to one side solved that problem. The quality of the images is excellent.

It arrived today and I threw it on the camera and tried testing in failing light. I'm going to need to learn to get the most out of it as I'm used to my 70-200 f 2.8. However, where there was light it seems pretty sharp, and I do think it's good to have a compact telephoto zoom in my kit. Love the better quality of the more expensive lenses, but this wins on the portable front. Have to say it was fun.

Completely happy with this purchase. I’m still a beginner but got a few good pictures with this lens today. The VR is a big improvement over the non VR for clarity at longer zoom.

It is what I have been saying. Hopefully I will never have to use it, but it is there for any mishaps that may occur. A feeling of comfort.

Adorama had this great bundle at the same price that many other stores had for just the lens. This is a great package and I love the lens!

I like the light weight and image stabilization. Mine came with cleaning kit and the filters I always buy; UV and polarizer filter

I’ve had quite a bit of experience using the old SLR film camera. This is my first DSLR the Nikon D3500. This is a wonderful lens and a great camera combo. Great Lens from a wonderfully service oriented store.

The auto focus has been great 99% of the time. The few times I've had problems were when I tried to focus on an object too close or too far. I understand too close, but I don't yet understand why the auto focus does not work well with distance. I talked to Nikon representatives and they tell me that it can happen in both cases.

This is a fine lens for the money. Note that it is a DX (crop sensor) copy of Nikon's 70-300mm zoom lineup, so if you have full-frame body, you'll want the costlier FX version of this AF-P zoom.

Brand new lens for me far as I am used to my 70-200, 2.8~ the weight of this is super light, so easy to handle. This is sharp from beginning to bitter end, I have nothing bad to say. Super lens, so happy I bought it, and happy I got the VR vs the lens that comes with the package deal. Highly recommend

I used to have the Sigma 70-300mm OS until it gave up on me while at a rodeo. With this Nikon I noticed one thing and that is the weight. It's about half the weight of the Sigma. Its focus is not only fast but also very quiet. I love it.

I’ve been working with ADORAMA for at least 15 years. In that time I have received 5 star advice and service. ADORAMA is rare in this day and age, a large company with the service you get from a smaller specialty store. With ADORAMA you get the best of both worlds. I have recommended several people to Adorama and every person has thanked me. And I’m taking this opportunity to recommend ADORAMA to anyone looking for the “best of the best”. You won’t be disappointed. Regarding the Nikon 70-300 mm VR Lens I just received I couldn’t be happier. Another great recommendation by Manny and Adorama!

I bought this lens without reading the fine print. It is not fully compatible with most older camera bodies including the D7200. On the D7200, autofocus works, but there is no way to turn the VR off. I use my tripod a lot, so I turn off VR a lot. So this lens is a no go for me. The optics are apparently pretty good, based on other reviews, but I really can't stand the cheap plastic lens mount on these "economy" DX lenses. They feel OK on the newer 5xxx and 3xxx cameras, but on a heavier prosumer body like the D7200 these lenses feel like plastic toys. I returned this lens to Adorama, and they refunded my full amount no questions asked. Great return policy.

I got this lens about 7 months ago and I love it. I have taken great shots of eagles on the Hudson. Many shots of them in the trees and in flight all without the aid of a tripod all handheld. The shots come out fantastic. It may not be a pro lens but for me it is just what I need. The VR works better than I thought. This is the best lens that I have in all the Nikkor lens I have. For the money it is well worth it. If you are thinking of buying one make sure it has VR. Would recommend

I'm very pleased with everything about this lens. It is simple to operate, and yields clear images. It is a glove fit/function on my Nikon D5600 camera body. I come from the past twelve years of shooting fixed lens superzooms, and this is my first encounter with a DSLR of any sort, so I may not be qualified to give a detailed review. As I stated earlier though, the simplicity of operation is something that appeals to me.

Fantastic lens for outdoors! Somewhat disappointed with it for indoor shots but I'm still learning so I'm sure I'll figure out the appropriate settings.

The lens has been used on my Nikon D500 and is outstanding in outdoor situations. Pictures are spot on and the reach on a crop sensor lens is phenomenal. Indoors the lens will struggle due to the variable aperture, but a flash would rectify that. i would very much recommend this lens to anyone.

I ended up returning lens due to incompatibility with a nikon d7200. I would buy again IF nikon updates the firmware for disabling VR. This lens may look small and light... but its sharpness throughout the range is really impressive. I will purchase the FX version but I wouldn't hesitate using this lens handheld at 300mm

This lens is amazing for any photography lover. It has an amazing zoom power that doesn't get blurry and you manually focus it so you can basically get whatever you want out of the image. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LENS.

Best zoom lens ever !

I am amazed .... Images are crystal clear ...i had the 70-300 mm VR 5.6 ....but I never liked it much ...i bought more than 3 different ones thinking the version I had was not good but all turned out to be the same ...something about the color saturation and sharpness.....where as this one is unbelievable....it gives crystal clear results and super sharp images at all zoom levels ! I am using it on nikon D750 , And believe it or not, it performs better (sharper and more accurate colors) than...

Una de las mejores compras, formidable nitidez, buena iluminación, enfoque rápido y silencioso, un lente a la par de gamas muy altas.
Uncover exciting new photo and video opportunities with this exceptional super-telephoto zoom lens featuring Nikon's Vibration Reduction (VR) image stabilization for blur-free results. Optimized for compact DX-format DSLRs, the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR picks up where your 18-55mm lens leaves off to bring distant action within reach. Capture sports, wildlife, concerts, landmarks—any faraway subjects—with phenomenal clarity and precision. But this lens isn't just about getting closer. Its superb optics and telephoto field of view produce beautiful portraits with softly blurred backgrounds.
Versatile 70-300mm focal length
The AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR is a phenomenal second lens and picks up where your 18-55mm lens leaves off. Compact and lightweight yet with a powerful zoom, it will help bring the most distant subjects into focus. Capture stunning close-ups of sports, wildlife, concerts, school events and so much more.
Unleash the potential of your camera's high-resolution sensor. The AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR features the superb optics and advanced technology used on Nikon's high-end lenses. Your photos and videos will have rich, vibrant colors, deep contrast, minimal distortion and beautiful soft backgrounds, even in less than ideal conditions.
VR image stabilization
Nikon's Vibration Reduction* (VR) image stabilization keeps photos sharp and videos steady when shooting handheld. It also enhances your camera's low-light capabilities, allowing you to shoot at slower shutter speeds in dim lighting. Switch between Auto Focus and Manual Focus or turn VR on and off using the camera menu. With no switches on the lens barrel, you have no chance of accidentally changing settings when you want to take the shot.
*Based on CIPA Standard. This value is achieved when DX-format compatible lenses are attached to a DX-format digital SLR camera and zoom lenses are set at the maximum telephoto position.
The AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR uses a pulse motor (utilizing stepping motors) that focuses extremely fast and is nearly silent. Bring subjects into focus instantly with absolute precision. When recording video, smoothly shift focus from subject to subject with practically no drive noise.
