Wide angle = Wide Range of Possibility
This has become a go to lens for me in many scenarios. I would give it 6 stars based on the price.

Great little landscape lens
A fantastic little lens for landscapes and wide angle shots. Those serious about videography would probably want a quieter autofocus system (this is STM instead of USM) since this does have a bit noisier autofocus and some focus breathing, but for the occasional videos I do it's totally adequate.
Images look great from this lens, and it's light and easily portable. The only issue is there is a bit of barrel distortion from this lens given the size and price point, but that can be corrected in post if shooting RAW.

Love it! Great bang for the buck! RF lenses are so expensive so I am thankful that canon is offering these "nifty" lenses at a lower cost bracket!

Good Every-Day Addition
A 5-star rating for this little lens? Yes, but a caveat: the rating is relative to expectations, price, etc. That is to say, I'm not giving up my 70-200 f/2.8 for this lens. That's not what the 16 f/2.8 represents in my bag. Here's where it fits and why I feel it's a great purchase: because of its size and quality, it has become an every-day carry and compliment to my 50 f/1.8. It fills both a need and a void. When the chips are down, would I rather shoot my EF 17-35 f/2.8? Good question and I don't know just yet. What I do know is that I'll shoot this 16mm more frequently because it travels so well and compact. I can put it, the 50, a body, and spare battery in a small cube, put that in my backpack and - by everyone else's knowledge - I'm not lugging my gear around.

A great little lens!
Sharp and light, a fun lens to use for both landscapes and silly portraits of my dogs. At a bright f/2.8 I'm able to take fun wide angle portraits inside as well as outside.

Great lens
This lens is so crisp. I love shooting with it. Incredibly wide and with software lens corrections, the distortion is non-existent.

Love this lens for my Canon EOS R
Very good lens!
With this lens i can go more wide than my 24-70mm.
I use this lens for wide shots of event decoration and some quickly real state photos and works perfectly ??
The combination of the wide mm and the portable that is make it perfect for every occasion.

The picture needs to be digitally corrected with this lens. It is a very small and light wide angle lens though. Satisfied with the purchase.
