Pocket wizard working fine as always. Needed a third receiver for third strobe and to serve as a back-up & for remote camera. Using with Nikon cameras, Nikon flash, White Lightning Ultra and Dynalite strobe packs.

Very versatile and has always worked. I have used this to fire speedlites and to trigger Novatron powerpacks. Nothing I have used before has been as simple and as predictable. Accessory cables allow this to work with everything. I even use a PC cable from Wista 4x5 viewcamera to this radio transceiver. This is backward compatible to my older Pocketwizard units I had bought used.

This is my second PocketWizard Plus X, and I wouldn’t have bought a second one if there was anything wrong with the first one. It just works!

I have used these PocketWizards for many years and have never had a failure. The only exception is my fault, forgetting to install fully charged batteries. Otherwise, they work great.

Great and easily usable. The only thing is that it does not come with any sort of reasonable strap to wrap around any part of the light. I had to buy my own velcro because the strap that comes with it is too short?

I've had no issues with these. Using a Nikon D3400 for the moment and they connect to my AlienB 800 just fine.

If you don't have the camera & lights with the built in transceivers, then this is definitely the route to go. Sturdy, long lasting and dependable transceivers.

Package comes with two mini-jack to PC only and one adapter for 1/4", which is useless if you plan to use them on some older model lights you're working with, like I do. NOW...I have to purchase two direct cables, 1/8" to 1/4" for $ so I can use them. (These use to come with the Pocket Wizards) I have owned the Plus II models of pocket wizards for years now and they have never, never let me down. They were built to withstand a lot of bumping around; overall, the Plus II's were a durable little piece of equipment. I purchased this new, PlusX two-pack for a special assignment I have coming up in a month when I'll be rigging extra lights....and I have to say, these two definitely do not have the same durable feel to them as my old ones. These are made of very light weight, thin, cheap plastic. All in all, they feel like they're not going to give me even half the life of my Plus II models. I'm afraid that if I drop one on a hard floor.....that's it! ADDITIONALLY, the booklet that comes with the Plus X two-pack indicates what comes in the box; saying it includes two 1/8" to PC cables, one 1/4" adapter and a mini-to mini cable....which it did not have, which is fine in my case because it wouldn't have helped me with my current connection requirements anyway. Overall, I'm a little disappointed. Funny thing is, I paid a lot more for these than my Plus II models. I could understand the price getting higher if the product was being built better but it's just the opposite. Sign of the times.

I purchased an additional Pocketwizard to use with an earlier purchase. I really like the simplicity of this unit and plan on buying one more for a total of 4. I’ve used them with flash equipment and had great luck and reliability, and have also used them to trigger a remote camera. They work, are well made, and Adorama is great to deal with

These transmitters work great! I have used them in-studio and on-location. A great way to trigger my lights without sync cords. They make my life easier.

Needed an extra radio for an event. Did not need the provision for grouping lights (ABCD), so this fit the need. The batteries last way longer in the Plus X, than the Plus III's I have when in Receive mode. Good thing.

The units work great with all types of Flash Units. The only thing about them I dislike is that they use AAA batteries and if left on overnight the batteries are dead the next day. Very surprised they did not build a "sleep mode" into the device.

A tri-color LED status indicator provides real-time updates on the transceiver's operation and battery life. The Plus X Transceiver also offers a Transmit Only Mode for situations where you only want your radio to transmit, such as when sharing a set of lights with other photographers.
Despite its affordability, the Plus X Transceiver delivers the range and reliability that PocketWizard radios are known for. Its ultra-fast microprocessors ensure reliable sync speeds of 1/250 for focal plane shutters and 1/500 for leaf shutters.
The Plus X Transceiver is compatible with all PocketWizard transmitters and receivers, including PocketWizard-enabled photo gear from Profoto, Dynalite, Norman, Photogenic, and Sekonic light meters.
