The light cones arrived in New Zealand this week un rapped and set them up Saturday set up very easy and tried some test shots just to get a feel for them happy with what i got but having all the back up videos to refer to is going to make things so much easier as i am photographing jewellery just ordered a light ring great product great support.

I ordered all three light cones and they showed up in a single day. Super easy to use.

I don't typically write reviews but this is the BEST thing I ever purchased for my online photos!!! I no longer dread taking photos and they are all coming out so consistent-looking and great! I would recommend this product a hundred times over!

I have to say, I was skeptical a first, doubting that a single tool could solve so many illumination problems. Well, it does , and it does it so fast that you'll avoid to set up your typical still life setup for chrome objects because you can obtain 95% the result in 10% of the time, and if you have to do an e-commerce shooting with 100 products, you know how time consuming can be. Approved for sure!

I'm giving 5 stars just because they sent me a replacement for the first order which has damages on the products. But they don't accept return, so if you want to buy products from them, you need to carefully check their policies or contact them if you have any questions.

I tried to DIY a light cone and the results were adequate BUT came with a huge headache. The one I made was flimsy, awkward, and impossible to store for my next project. The project I'd been hired to shoot required a fast turnaround and I simply didn't have time to order the real thing. The day after the project, I placed my order for the full Light Cone X Karl Taylor kit! Having 3 sizes to choose from for my next project, ensuring I will be able to handle anything my clients throw at me, is such as relief. The durability, flexibility, and storability are better than anything I could have come up with on my own.

Diffuses light well, but the hole is too small for an iPhone 15. This causes the camera to shift between lenses trying to focus, making it difficult to work with.

Does what it's supposed to do. Simple product with big results. When you compare a product pictures with this and without, it's like night and day. I recommend.

Decent, not exactly as effective as they make it seem.

As a very amateur photographer and not having much invested in lighting, this cone really works wonders for the lighting I do have. It has done an awesome job of being able to flatten out lighting without losing details. I just started taking pictures of my wife's new jewelry for her upstart and they have turned out so much better with the cone.

It saves tons of time and creates very smooth images.

I have a friend who uses this light cones for his product photography and I wanted to try it out for myself. I received a discount code for my birthday from V-Flat World so it helped save some money and get another product from my favorite brand. The pictures I provided speak for themselves you clearly see a difference in the diffusion of light. Much softer shadows. Excellent product and the price is fairly affordable.

However, if you need more versatility in terms of shooting angles or horizonally, a light tent might be a better choice. Here's a quick summary of the pros and cons: Pros: Eliminates glare and reflections Easy to set up and use Affordable Portable and collapsible Cons: Not very sturdy Practically limited to overhead shots Overall, I would recommend The Light Cone to product photographers who take occasional assignments and primarily shoot from overhead. Those needing flexibility might find better value with a light tent. A possible solution could be incorporating or selling a framework of lightweight yet strong plastic rods and connectors separately. This would allow The Light Cone to be hung and adjusted on a small light boom, enabling easy angled shots.

Works so well on reflections for my flat lays

I had seen this before on Karl's class, but I thought it couldn't possibly make that much difference because I use diffusers. I finally bought one after trying to get pics of my high polish silver jewelry. Boy was I wrong! This is so amazing that I just bought the large! Worth every penny!

As a jewelry vendor, it has been so difficult to capture images accurately, even with conventional light boxes or other methods. The cone works perfectly to diffuse the light and helps me take accurate shots the first time around.

I have been a professional commercial product photographer for over 30 years. A colleague of mine brought the large version of the V-Flat Light Cone to my studio to try out on a recent project I was doing. I have had light tents, light cubes and I have built my own devices, but the V-Flat was simplicity at its finest. The light was seamless and shadowless on my chrome products and depending on where I placed my lights, I found I had a lot more control than with previous products. I wound up getting one for myself and have been using it for a lot of my tabletop work. I had an issue with one of the snaps, contacted V-Flat World and they replaced the cone and shipped it to my door within two days. Customer service to me is one of the most important things that I look for in a supplier and V-Flat World came through in record time.

what a difference this makes! These mirror finished knives are so hard to capture, but the cone makes it so much easier.... I just wish there was a bigger option available!
