“With Charge 3, we are building on the success of our best-selling Charge franchise and delivering our most innovative tracker, offering an extremely slim, comfortable and premium design, along with the advanced health and fitness features our users want. Charge 3 gives existing users a compelling reason to upgrade, while also allowing us to reach new users who want a sleeker, more affordable wearable in a tracker form factor,” said James Park, co-founder and CEO of Fitbit, in a statement. “Our commitment to consumer choice and ability to meet the demand of millions of users by offering a range of products, from trackers to smartwatches, will enable us to expand our share of the overall wearables market.”
The Fitbit Charge 3 boasts a seven-day battery life, and waterproof and swim-proof capabilities that let you take your watch into the pool without risk of damage up to 50 meters, and a new, bigger, OLED touchscreeen display, which is nearly 40 percent larger than that of the Charge 2.
For women, the tracker features update female health tracking, including menstrual cycle tracking, which will be coming soon via the Fitbit app. Those looking to improve their sleep will see the brand new “Sleep Score” beta function that premieres later this year and will let users track their nightly snooze, and provide information on your sleep patterns and quality over time, as may possibly indicate health problems like sleep apnea.

A brand new SpO2 sensor will let the tracker better estimate your blood oxygen levels, giving you even further health insights on a daily basis.
New exercise modes function based on fitness goals, and allow you to set the distance, duration, or calories burned before your workout and will alert you when completed. The run feature that has been programmed on the Versa and Blaze watches also makes its way to the Charge 3, helping the tracker identify your run without the need to press “start.”
