If there is a photo or video accessory that you need, Manfrotto can typically come to the rescue. The company has an impressive line of tripods, gimbals, equipment carriers, and much more to improve your shooting experience. This promise only continues with Manfrotto’s newest announcement: the release of the Manfrotto 300XM Pro 3-Axis Modular Gimbal and the Move Ecosystem.

Key Features of the Manfrotto 300XM Pro 3-Axis Modular Gimbal

The Manfrotto 300XM Pro 3-Axis Modular Gimbal allows you to remove individual parts of the product so you can create the perfect configuration for your needs. This means you can also integrate your existing gear into the configuration for even more customization.

The modular design allows you to segment the product into four parts, and mix/match as needed. The gimbal includes:

  • A camera sliding plate attachment with a 501PL standard profile and extendable cross arm. You can attach this plate to a handle or gimbal. The remote head allows for even more versatility.
  • An adaptable handle so you can shoot at any angle or orientation. This can easily detach if not needed.
  • A LCD touch screen and joystick, allowing for an easy gimbal set-up. This is also compatible with the Manfrotto Gimbal app for no-touch controlling.
  • A detachable mini tripod so you can stand your set-up if needed, or detach if not needed.

This is an absolute game-changer for content creators who need a variety of shots for a single project.

How Can the Gimbal be Used?

As mentioned, the possibilities for customization are endless with the 300XM Gimbal.

For example, you can detach the 300XM’s remote control handle and attach it to the base of the Manfrotto GimBoom to extend your stabilized shooting radius to over two meters while maintaining complete gimbal functionality. But that’s not all — you can attach the gimbal head on a variety of tripods and sliders for a fully remote shooting system. Thanks to its 501PL shape + 3/8”, it is able to be mounted directly on tripod (through 3/8” std thread) or video head (through 501PL shape).

The Move Ecosystem

But the 300XM Gimbal isn’t the only thing Manfrotto is showing off. The company also recently introduced the Move Quick Release System as part of its Move Ecosystem. The Move Ecosystem is a system designed to slash set-up times and create at the speed of inspiration. See more about Move Ecosystem in the video below.

The system includes a Move Quick Release Base with 360° Release, X-Lock twist lock, and an ergonomic design suitable for all configurations. You simply snap the plate into the lock and you’re ready to start capturing images or video. The move can lock at any angle and any orientation, and holds tight without the need for additional latches. To unlock, you simply rotate the ring and the plate pops free. You can now move between different configurations (using tripods, gimbals, etc.) in mere seconds.

Manfrotto wants to make your creative process more agile than ever before. With the release the Manfrotto 300XM Pro 3-Axis Modular Gimbal and the Move Ecosystem, you’ll have the freedom to swiftly change your gimbal design in seconds, so you can focus on capturing the perfect shot.
