As a creator who’s always on the go, a powerful laptop is at the top of my list. Between photographing weddings, traveling to conventions, and editing YouTube content and corporate work, I need a laptop that’s up to speed with how fast my life moves. The new MSI Creator Z16 laptop packs a serious punch.
Meant specifically for creators, the MSI Creator Z16 can handle up to 8K Raw video in a snap. Compared to their 20 series GPUs, this NVIDIA Studio Laptop powered by GeForce RTX 30 Series GPUs has twice the rendering performance and up to twice the graphics memory. This is definitely helpful in the content creation process. Also, the touch-screen laptop provides a 1TB SSD (solid state drive) that’s going to boost speed and stability overall.

I enjoyed the touchscreen much more than I thought I would. It gave my digital work a tangible experience that brought me further into the creative process. The durability of the laptop was easily tested. I brought it throughout my day consisting of everything from transporting it to my office, throwing it in my car to go exercise, and picking up my kids in between working on projects. Having the ability to work in the “in-between” moments of my crazy schedule makes the Creator Z16 that much more appealing.
I did have a chance to do some speed tests pushing my typical 30MB photo files. I saw just how well it performed when I threw 3 minutes of 8K raw video footage from my Canon EOS R5 into Adobe Premiere Pro. You can check out the speed tests from those real-world projects in the AdoramaTV video here:

Naturally, the MSI Creator Z16 laptop has everything you’d expect from a serious laptop. You’ll find Killer WiFi 6E AX1675 (2×2), Bluetooth 5.2, IR 720p HD Webcam and enough ports for your workflow. There are two of each USB 3.2 Gen2 and Thunderbolt 4 ports and a very useful mic-in/headphone-out combo audio port. The 4 cell (90Whr) battery park will give you ample battery life if you’re constantly on the go like I am.
PC Users will be drooling over this chic machine, pre-loaded with Windows 10 Pro. Plus, with 3 fans and 5 heat pipes, the new Cooler Boost Trinity+ amplifies the fan airflow. This gives you the best multi-tasking workflow without the laptop getting too hot. The 4 Stereo Speakers will give you a whole new level of audio with world-class Dynaudio sound system—great for work and a few movies here and there.
I can’t finish this without talking about just how sleek and sexy this is—at just over 5 pound computer is. The gunmetal gray (or lunar gray as MSI labels it) with the badass MSI logo makes the outside of the laptop look like it can handle anything. You then open it to find a gorgeous miniLED Per key RGB backlight KB (84 Key) keyboard and 16″ QHD+ (2560×1600 resolution) Finger Touch panel screen. All the eyes in the cafe are going to glance over to see what you’ve got going on.
