Excellent sound quality from multiple speakers

The Sonos Roam is a dynamic speaker with rich sound built into a modest frame. The smart speaker weighs less than a pound and measures smaller than a water bottle—but it puts out enough audio to fill a room. The Sonos Roam is professionally engineered to produce full sound and uses Sonos’ signature Trueplay tuning technology to enhance the listening experience. TruePlay tuning uses the built-in microphone to analyze the Roam’s output sound as it bounces around the room, then adapts the sound to the current acoustics.

The new Sonos Roam offers the ability to connect to a second Sonos Roam to create a stereo listening experience. Listeners can also link the Sonos Roam to the rest of their Sonos home sound system using the shared WiFi connection. Listeners have the freedom to create an entire home theater, or place speakers in different rooms.

All types of audio from all kinds of sources

The Sonos Roam is ideal for playing music, podcasts, audiobooks, and everything in between. Listeners can stream and control audio with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple AirPlay 2. With simple voice commands, listeners can change tracks, adjust volume, or switch sources. The Roam is also designed with tactile buttons on the speaker for more traditional sound control.

Users have access to a Sonos Radio subscription, which houses 60,000 live stations of curated music. With Sonos Radio, listeners can pause, skip, and replay audio from each station.

As the name suggests, the Sonos Roam is meant to be taken on-the-go. While away from WiFi, users can easily connect to their Roam using Bluetooth. The Roam can last up to 10 hours on a single charge so you can listen for the full duration of your outdoor adventures. The Roam is also compatible with Qi wireless charging stations if you prefer to go cordless.

Lastly, the Sonos Roam wouldn’t be a true portable speaker without a IP67 durability rating. Sonos constructed the Roam to be both water- and dust-proof, and resilient to drops. Listeners can freely lug their smart speaker on a bumpy commute, or enjoy listening out in the elements.

The Sonos Roam is available through Adorama now.
