The COOLPIX lineup just got bigger. Today, Nikon announced two new COOLPIX point-and-shoot cameras: the A1000 and the B600, both with impressive zooms and optical power, both in individual compact sizes.
Nikon COOLPIX A1000:
The pocket-sized COOLPIX A1000 packs a 35x optical zoom lens (with a 24-840mm range) that can capture close-up subjects or far-away landscapes. With the digital zoom, you can watch the focal length expand to 1680mm, or tap into the macro mode that’ll let you flex your macro photography skills, even shooting just 1 centimeter (0.4 inches) away at the maximum wide-angle.
The A1000’s 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor has an ISO range up to 6400, and five other pre-set creative modes (in addition to 20 different effects) allow for expanded creativity and customization of every image.
When it comes to recording video, the A1000 has you covered. Capture videos in 4K Ultra HD (in 3840×2160) with stereo sound and Hybrid VR to keep the scene level and smooth.
The camera’s 1166k-dot viewfinder and the 1036k-dot tilting touchscreen let you take the desired image, view it in even brightly-lit scenes, and frame them from any angle. Additional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity means you can send and share your images to your smartphone (via the SnapBridge 5 app) for posting instantly.
The Nikon COOLPIX A1000 is available for preorder for at Adorama.
Nikon COOLPIX B600:
From wide-angle to super-telephoto close-up shots, the Nikon COOLPIX B600 lets you capture it all. The digital camera, which comes with a built-in 60x optical zoom (24-14400mm range) that can expand to 120×2 using the Dynamic Fine Zoom, is built with everyday uses in mind.
The camera’s 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and EXPEED image processor allow for photo capture even in harsh light, while the built-in Vibration Reduction (VR) cuts down on camera shake and Hybrid VR eliminates blur when recording video.
Speaking of video, the B600 records 1080/60i and 1080/30p Full HD films with stereo audio to help you capture live memories. Make macro photography easy with the Macro mode that can capture close-up shots just one centimeter away. And take advantage of the 19 total scene modes and 36 creative effects for added options.
The camera’s rechargeable battery can be charged through USB while in use, and the camera also includes built-in WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity options, along with the possibility of linking to the ML-L7 Remote Control for additional wireless controls.
The Nikon COOLPIX B600 is available for preorder now for at Adorama.
