The Sigma FF High Speed Prime Line is meant for large-format camera systems and 8K shooting, and delivers impressive picture quality. A prominent new feature is the /i Technology protocol compatibility so users receive important metadata of their shoots including focal length, focal distance, and aperture. It’s the metadata that comes in handy in post-production compositing and perfectly blending those visual effects (VFX).
Lenses in the Art Prime line are able to record this metadata using electronic contacts on the lens that sends the information to the camera body.
