I upgraded to the Bose Ultra 2's. I was using another company's ear pods. Their noise cancellation wasn't good enough to drain out airplane jet engine noise. The Bose headphones did a great job reducing the jet engine noise. The headphones are very comfortable on long flights.

Do not like that when sliding right side of headset turns off music. Has issues with staying on when moving headset in different direction, seems to cause disconnect. They are comfortable but got some issues to work out.

I know this is probably a little overkill - especially since I'm not a YouTube influencer - but I actually purchased both the Apple AirPods Max 2 and the Bose QC Ultra (U2) at the same time to decide which one I preferred. I tested both thoroughly and made a list of pros and cons. Ultimately, the Bose QC U2 won for me, although they aren't perfect. The AirPods Max 2 sounded better across the board in music and movies, both wired and wireless (tested on an iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, Windows gaming PC, Windows laptop, and a Switch OLED). Oddly enough, even after adjusting the Bose EQ, I still couldn't match the AirPods Max 2 sound. That being said, the Bose definitely do not sound bad at all - this is purely personal preference. I'd rate the AirPods Max 2 a 9.5 and the Bose an 8.9 which is still very good. As you can tell, I own a lot of Apple products, so yes, the Apple integration was convenient. But the ability in the Bose app to pick and choose from saved connections is a really great feature across non?Apple devices. Transparency Mode AirPods Max 2 win this easily. No surprise there. Noise Cancellation For me, the Bose slightly outperformed the AirPods Max 2, scoring a 9 vs. 8.5. However, this flips when talking on the phone. The AirPods Max 2 block out background noise almost completely. The Bose don't block as much background noise, but they do boost my voice and make it sound clearer on FaceTime. Pros and cons both ways - neither performs badly. Comfort Bose is the winner here. The AirPods Max 2 clamp force was too strong for my liking. Not painful, but noticeable. I can wear the Bose for extended periods with zero discomfort. I also think the QC U2 headband is far superior in comfort over the AirPods Max 2 Portability & Case Another win for Bose. The AirPods Max 2 don't fold compactly, and the case? well, let's just say it's not great. The QC Ultras fold properly and come with a functional carrying case. Sure, there are better third?party cases, but the Bose case does the job and fits nicely in a carry?on. Buttons & Controls Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of the buttons or touch sensor on the QC U2. The AirPods Max 2 controls are incredibly precise - honestly, nothing else comes close. Sorry Bose. Battery Life Another Bose win. Thirty hours vs. twenty, and you can actually turn the Bose off with a power button. (Come on Apple - how hard is that?) Weight Bose wins hands down. I didn't think the AirPods Max 2 weight was that bad? until I put on the Bose. That extra 100+ grams makes a night?and?day difference. Style I'll give this one to the AirPods Max 2, but with a caveat: the premium metal build adds weight and makes them easier to scratch or damage. The QC U2s still look great and are far less worry?inducing. Gym Use Not many reviewers score this, but I will - Bose wins here too. I'd give them an 8.5 vs. the AirPods' 7. Not because of sound or stability, but because of two things: 1 - The AirPods Max 2 ear cups are fabric. Sweat turns them into damp clothes on your head. 2- The weight difference. You feel it, especially whilst working out. The Bose do get warmer faster, but that doesn't outweigh the sweat issue or the weight. Price The AirPods Max 2 are overpriced - no ifs, ands, or buts. Yes, they're premium with more metal, and I get that. But the Bose are no slouch in premium styling or features, and they win here easily - especially since I got them on a limited sale. A Few Things I Don't Love About the QC U2 The App The app is finicky - frustratingly so. I'm on the latest version, but around 80% of the time the headset doesn't automatically connect to my iPhone 17 Pro Max, which is the device I use most. I open the app, press connect, and half the time it still won't connect unless I manually put the headset into pairing mode. Very frustrating, and it undermines the multipoint advantage. Hopefully this can be fixed with a firmware update. Buttons & Touch Bar As mentioned earlier, the controls aren't great. The touch bar doesn't offer enough granular control and isn't as sensitive as it should be. The buttons aren't conveniently placed and feel cheap for a premium device. Honestly, the touch controls on the old NC700s were better. Internal Cup Noise This one is odd, but if I shake my head side to side, I can feel and hear internal components inside the ear cups thud against my ears. I know most people won't be shaking their head like that, but as a muso who does some dancing and choreography, I'd expect to be able to wear these during light movement without that issue. I own a lot of Apple products, but as a muso I also own a lot of Bose professional gear, so I don't think I'm biased either way. I've tried to give the most accurate and honest review I can. Final Score: 4 out of 5 stars. I would definitely recommend the QC U2 to anyone looking to buy or upgrade their headset.

The headphones themselves are excellent, as always with Bose. I am still unable to connect and control them via the Bose app, despite following all suggestions. I registered with Bose prior to my purchase, and got an email giving me a 10% discount, but only several minutes after I had purchased the headphones!

to preface this, I've been a Bose girlie since circa 2021. i'm autistic, and VERY particular about my everyday headphones. music is my biggest regulation tool, so sound quality, noise canceling, and overall comfort/sensory experience are the most important qualities in headphones for me. i've owned the QC 45s, the QC 2023s, and a pair of the first generation Ultras, and loved them ALL. i will say that Airpod Maxes had better noise cancellation and overall audio quality than the first generation Ultras, but a LOT less comfortable. the second generation is virtually the same quality as the APMs, but SO MUCH more comfortable AND half the price. i got them last week, and they have been my go-to headphones since. i use them more than my airpod pro 3s, more than my JBLs, and would choose these over APMs every day of the week. if you're a stickler for comfort and are looking for a quality pair of over-ear headphones, these are on the top of my recommendation list!!!!

I have been using the Bose QC25 for several years and have been very pleased with them. However, for a while I have been pondering if cost of upgrading them to the latest design; The Bose QC Ultra 2nd Gen. Yes these are expensive, but the cost is well worth it, as my music sounds so much nicer and very realistic. They are very comfortable to wear and the bass is very present just like listening to a live music. The various listening options work well and give a different sound when you feel like having a change to how the music sounds. Noise cancelling works very well.

I set out to buy a pair of headphones to keep at home to be used for listening to lossless music on PC and iPad/iPhone. I tried Sony 1000XM6; they were great but had connection problems. Tried AirPods Pro Max 2. The only upgrade in these headphones was the ANC which I never use because it makes me paranoid that someone might be sneaking up behind me. Plus, I want to try something outside Apple that's more PC friendly. That's when I found these babies and fell in love. This product checks all the boxes. Buy it.

This is my second pair. They didn't have the Violet ones when bought the first ones. They are incredibly comfortable for long wear on flights. Didn't realize there was a screaming child on my flight until I took them off for meal service. I didn't even have the volume up all the way just half. If you're on the fence about it, get them. It's one purchase you will never regret

Normally products would arrive in good condition. The outside packaging for delivery was ok but the inner box that contained the headphones looks like it's been kicked around on the floor. The headphones I received had been squashed and has a permanent crease at the bottom of the faux leather which I seem to always see when I put them on. Overall sound quality is very good and the Noise Cancelling is much better than its predecessor which I had. The band that sits on top of my head is a little too heavy and it just wants to come off when I lay down, especially when I move a little.

Incredibly underwhelming is what my first impression was, and unfortunately that hasn't changed. I would rather have less battery and more power they got very little jam to em. The quiet comfort earbuds have better bass and better noise cancelling, but these are definitely super comfy, just really disappointing
