Of course, it's the only game in town. The ink looks and works great. Be aware that there is an oily carrier that goes on the print which evaporates over time. I haven't seen a problem with non-RC papers. Apparently the stuff soaks into the paper where it does no harm. But with RC papers it can't absorb, and so it winds up on the back of the glass of framed prints. I have managed to mitigate the problem somewhat by covering RC papers with newsprint which seems to absorb much of the oil. It's an incomplete fix, but it seems to help.

Epson Ultrachrom HDR ink is fantastic. Very vibrant colors, very long lifetime, and it's a prefect match for the Epson printers. Accept no substitute! It does have one problem... If you print on RC materials the ink outgasses some kind of oily film onto the back of glass over time. It's nasty and you can see it on framed prints. I sandwich RC prints between sheets of newsprint for at least 24 hours - longer if possible, and that helps.

Let the Epson UltraChrome HDR 150 ml. Ink Set revolutionize your printing experience with the Stylus Pro 7900 (24 inch) and Stylus Pro 9900 (44 inch) printers. This high-quality ink set is Epson's pioneering ten-color technology, designed to significantly broaden your color spectrum and elevate your digital printing capabilities, particularly in the package and remote proofing market segments.
The UltraChrome HDR (High Dynamic Range) ink is a durable, high-density resin-coated pigment ink formulation. It features a versatile three-level black ink technology - Photo Black, Light Black, and Light Light Black, along with Cyan, Light Cyan, Vivid Magenta, Vivid Light Magenta, Yellow, Orange, and Green. The set also includes Matte Black, which can be auto-switched with Photo Black, providing a wide range of options for creating professional-quality prints.
This efficient generation of UltraChrome HDR ink delivers reduced graininess in skin tone areas, smoother tonal gradation from shadows to highlights, and highly accurate color control with neutral black and white. Expect outstanding long-term lightfastness and high gloss levels on water-resistant prints.
The UltraChrome HDR 150 ml. Ink Set is designed to reduce costs with the introduction of two high-capacity ink cartridges (350 and 700ml), contributing to a lower cost per milliliter of ink. These new high-capacity ink cartridges also decrease the need for frequent cartridge replacements, promoting greater unattended printing.
The Stylus Pro 7900 and Stylus Pro 9900 printers are equipped with Epson's MicroPiezo TFP (Thin Film Piezo) print head, featuring 360 nozzles per inch for each of the ten active ink cartridges. Combined with Epson's Ink Repelling Coating for the print head and Automatic Ink Detection (AID) system, this ink set helps to minimize and detect nozzle clogging in advance, reducing downtime and paper waste during the cleaning process.
Experience a dramatic increase in print speed compared to current 8-color 24 inch and 44 inch printers. With the Stylus Pro 7900, you can complete an A1 (720x720dpi) sellable quality print on Epson's Premium Glossy Photo Paper in an impressive 5 minutes. Trust the UltraChrome HDR 150 ml. Ink Set to deliver reliable, professional-grade printing results every time.
