Check out the cost of Toner for this BEFORE purchasing the printer. Brand new and it jams when trying to use the Avery 5366 file folder labels the cover up previous printing on the folder and to revert to using the thinner labels.

I've had this machine since January. It's been less than average at best. I bought to replace a similar model of this brand that I had been using in my office for 14 years. Sales told me this was the most similar to what I had. I was mis-informed about the trays and how they could be used, which upset me, but I had the machine and went on about my life. However, this machine is a constant headache. It has lift issues from the added third tray. It randomly decides not to pull labels or checks from the third tray and they have to be manually fed, but not always, which is frustrating because you never know when or why. Every single time my computer has an update, the machine will not print until it's unplugged, plugged back, and my computer restarted. The help desk is less than helpful, although they try. They tell me all of my issues are because the printer is plugged into a power strip and not the wall, but that didn't make my prior HP machine have these issues. I regret this purchase every day. I run a busy office. This machine is used exclusively by me and it without a doubt slows down my workload.

I bought a M402dne Laserjet printer to replace my HP 2100 Laserjet I bought in 1999. It was getting difficult to find toner cartridges and it was time to update. The new printer does everything the old one did plus a little more. A great printer for the price.

I purchased this printer to print my preprinted and numbered checks. I was told by the representative at HP that it would pull the checks from the top and that I would place the checks in the tray face up. This was not true. I have to flip the checks and reverse the order that I want them printed. Since I am printing 70 - 75 checks twice a month, this was too time consuming. Many checks are voided due to the fact that they have to be counted exactly or the printer will print on another check.

Love it, sharp print, right size for my desk. I chose this because my school got one. It can do both sides printing. I want laser jet because i had ink jet before, the ink always dry out on me with less use.

I have had this printer for 2 weeks and it absolutely fills my needs as a small business owner. It was easy to order, great timing on delivery and easy install. Those pluses along with the features made it a great purchase.

This is a good, solid performing LaserJet. It is fast to print, fast to prepare complex PDFs. I recommend it for home office or a small team printer

This was bought to replace an HPLaser Jet 4100 that i had used for 18years. Since it is no longer made, I had to work with my software programmers to find what would do the work I needed. A couple of HP printers that were recommended are no longer made either. It seems to be an adequate replacement, a little slower than the other printer, tray capacity is less than a ream, sounds a little clunky at times. But it prints my checks, reports, and labels. which is what I needed.

I bought this for our busy radiology clinic. Unfortunately, it does not keep up with our volumes and the larger paper tray would have been a better option. When calculating volumes prior to buying, it was advertised as if it could serve us well. I disagree. We will continue to use this until it dies, but will not purchase again.

I bought it over a month ago and it has been working wonderfully. Very easy to install. Basically plug and play and a great small footprint. For my needs it has been a great acquisition.

Great experience, as always, with HP. I called HP to see which comparable printer they would recommend to replace my old HP printer and this was the one. It was a great price, received it quickly and was easy to set up for this non-techy person. I like this new printer even better! Quieter and faster. Thanks to my great HP rep, Billy, for his expertise!

This is a fast printer with ethernet port and double sided print capability. So far it has performed flawlessly, and we have high expectations as the HP 4P that it replaced was put in service on 11/27/1994.

The machine set up easily and has performed as described. After a few hundred pages, however, it began make a grinding sound when printing. But the machine has not stopped printing and does put out printed pages as described in the HP documentation.
