This revolutionary all-in-one DSMC3 system is equipped with RED Global Vision, a suite of tools that offer unprecedented flexibility and dynamic range.
The V-RAPTOR XL (X) boasts an unparalleled low-light performance, superior frame rates, and high resolution, all enhanced by the benefits of a global shutter. This groundbreaking technology ensures every movement, flash, and burst is captured without any compromise in image quality, dynamic range, or post-production flexibility.
The camera's Extended Highlight Protection feature allows you to delve 3+ stops deeper into the brightest highlights, retaining more color and detail than ever before. The Phantom Track dual-capture streamlines any virtual production environment, capturing distinct R3D clips per each sub-frame slice, and allowing for live on-set monitoring over each SDI.
This model is built with the same keystone features found in the original V-RAPTOR XL system, but supercharged with an all-new 8K VV global shutter sensor, RED Global Vision, improved audio performance, and more. The 8K VV Global Shutter Sensor is a groundbreaking new image-capture technology, the first of its kind in a cinema camera.
The V-RAPTOR XL (X) offers 17+ stops of dynamic range, leveraging the industry-best low-light performance of the 8K VV sensor and unlocking even more dynamic range with Extended Highlights mode. The integrated I/O is flexible and robust, with 4K and HD SDI monitoring, discreet LUT management, and intuitively placed power outputs, all designed to support large productions.
With the ability to shoot up to 120FPS @ 8K, this camera offers unmatched frame-rate performance in a cinema camera. The integrated control display is easy to navigate and intuitive, allowing for comprehensive controls, including in-camera format selections and customized buttons.
The V-RAPTOR XL (X) also features an internal electronically variable ND system with 2 to 7 stops in 1/4, 1/3, or full stop increments, and a newly engineered audio hardware that provides cleaner and clearer audio when connecting external microphones.

- 12 V and 24 V auxiliary power outputs allows camera assistants to power all the peripherals needed to do their job from one centralized place
- Front facing 3G-SDI and 2-Pin 12 V power, as well as compatibility with the DSMC3 RED Touch 7.0" LCD, supports any camera operators viewing preference
- Wireless timecode, genlock, and camera control, as well as four SDI outputs support the DIT, giving them access to everything they need at their cart
