This is my go-to lens for almost any situation. Excellent range, great pictures. It's not as sharp as an L lens, but it's better than the regular Canon telephoto zooms, in part because it has a lock button which keeps the lens in place as you walk.

Great lens that I use quite often. If I had to choose just one lens to carry with me it would be this one.

Solid all around, all purpose lens. Used on a Nikon D7200 for pretty much everything. Having the range for wide angle landscapes and the zoom for getting close to things makes this an indispensable lens

This Sigma 18-300 takes sharp pictures only I don't use often as it is a dx lens. I'm a landscape person with a D750 body so a dx won't do for me anymore.

This is my first time purchasing a lens outside of the normal kit lenses. So far I'm very satisfied with this product. The pictures look crisp and I'm able to capture a wide variety of good looking images at various distances. I'm still learning so I'm looking forward to seeing what else this lens can do for me!

Fill all of the gap between the 10-20 nikkor and the 150-600 Sigma, with a fine "walk around" lens, At today's prices I might look harder at the tamron 18-400, but this lens is sharp enough, and fast enough for everything I've tried.

Just came back from a long day at Barr Lake (Colorado) using this 18-300 hand held, and a 150 to 600 Sigma mostly on tripod to take shots of hundreds of Pelicans, and dozens of Blue Herons, as well as an Osprey on Nest, All shot from too far off, but good clean, identifiable images of almost every thing. The 18 to 300 is an amazingly versatile tool, from weed seeds a couple of inches off the front of the lens to hawks circling a couple of hundred feet up, nice shots. On a light body the lens is just enough mass to settle into the shot. On a slightly heavier body it moves very smoothly.

Replaceing the original nikon 18-200 vr.. So ca is better vibration control is better it also sharper. Also having 1:3 macro means I don't have to switch out lenses as much.. So as a replacement it's win win, I'm very pleased

Love the combination package. With it being on sale for the same price as just the lens it would be crazy not to take advantage and purchase it. I love the lens and it has become my "lens of choice" for 90+% of my photography. I'm still playing with it and learning all the different things I can do with it.

Sounds good 16 to 300m but what if you want full frame 16-200? Not with this lens. You are asking for the impossible. Set on 16mm all you get is the center vignette with a circle. The test was taken using the digital setting that uses ONLY the center portion of the lens, NOT FULL FRAME! Back it wtnt! I wanted a full frame digital image. It has vignette at even 200mm with the D750 set at full vignette suppression. . Now I'm ordering a digital micro lens that will give 1;1 full frame.

I purchased this lens for a Canon Rebel t7i hoping for a closer view into a great horned owl's nest with chicks and also to get a closer view of a roosting screech owl. This lens did not meet my expectations. The pictures and videos taken did not even provide the view that my EOB Ranger binoculars do. It is also a very heavy lens. I really could not imagine enjoying a hike in Yellowstone or Grand Tetons with such a heavy lens--and my tiny Sony RX 100 seems to do a better job. I am returning the lens. Adorama provides terrific customer service and information, so I would definitely shop here again for my next purchase!

Real nice bundle…Perfect for me as a neophyte in the DSLR world. A professional photographer recommended this highly as the best option for my newly acquired Nikon full frame body.

So far so good. I’ve only had the opportunity to use this lens a couple of time so far but the pictures are great. This was a great buy at an unbeatable price!! This is my second Sigma lens and both are awesome!!

Wonderful walk-around lens. A bit soft at the long end, but certainly useable. Best if you have enough light to stop down a bit.

Fast focus (most of the time) but the limited f-stop range makes it difficult to shoot action in low light situations. But I like how compact it is for the wide zoom range. Great for all kinds for shots in good lighting, especially in daylight.

Excellent Lens
By Patrick J.
Sigma 18-300mm: I find this to be an excellent walk around lens. I use it on my Canon 7D MKII. Lens is light and the construction seems to be very durable. The only other lens I have to compare it to other than Canon “L” series lens, is a Tamron 28-300, the Sigma beats the Tamron in all categories hands down. Before I went on vacation I calibrated the lens to the camera using Focal Pro. Ever one of my 600 images are very sharp. This will not be my last Sigma lens.
Photos taken were sharp
By ROGER H.
The lens when paired with the Sigma MC11 converter from Canon Sigma Contemporary Mount for Sony a6300 worked well in standard alight photography. The zoom functions were smooth and there were no issues encountered with the image stabilization or ther auto focus functions. In low light the lens tends to hunt in focusing which happens to many native lenses as well. Photos taken were sharp.
The Sigma 18-300mm 3.5-6.3 DC HSM Macro is another impressive addition to the Sigma Global Vision Contemporary line. With a 16.6x zoom ratio covering focal lengths from wide to telephoto, this lens also offers a 1:3 macro ratio.
The Sigma 18-300mm Contemporary was designed for APS-C cameras where it equates to a 27-450mm lens and incorporates state-of-the-art Sigma technology. An optimized hyper sonic motor (HSM) ensures quiet and fast autofocus. Four FLD (performance equal to fluorite) paired with 1 SLD glass elements capture incredible sharp and contrasted images, all the way through the focal length. Utilizing top quality glass, the Sigma 18-300mm Contemporary controls aberration, even at the telephoto end to produce high quality images. Working with the USB dock, this lens allows for firmware updates when available and adjustment of focus parameters.
