The Samsung 256GB 830 Series Internal 2.5" Solid State Drive (SSD) is perfect for gaming, web surfing and playing multimedia files. It can boot up to your computer in as little as 15 seconds. Plus, it offers fast sequential read speeds up to 520 MB/s and fast sequential write speeds up to 400 MB/s. The 830 Series SSD is equipped with a 3-core ARM9 based MCX controller, toggle DDR NAND Flash and 256 MB of DDR2 DRAM cache memory.
It features a brushed metal design and it houses no moving parts, so it's more energy efficient than other hard drives. Plus, at 0.28-inches thick and only 2.15 ounces, the Series 830 SSD is slim and lightweight enough to accommodate ultra-slim PC cases and ultra-slim laptops.
For added convenience, the internal solid state drive comes with Samsung's Magician 3.0 software, which enables performance benchmarking, optimization, firmware updates, data security and over-provisioning.
