While female photographers should be celebrated all year, it’s fun to give the bold females in our creative community some extra love for Women’s History Month each March. That’s why we highlighted the top female gamers last week—and it’s why we’re spotlighting some of our community’s best female photographers today.

But these women are more than simply photographers. They’re teachers. Business owners. Creative masterminds. Movers and shakers. And, these game-changing women are sharing the love this March by the gear they swear by so you can go out and photograph just like them!

Lindsay Adler | @lindsayadler_photo

Lindsay Adler is hardly a new face around 42 West! She’s our go-to for lighting and photography tutorials, including this recent Pantone photoshoot tutorial on Adorama TV, and she’s also a renowned photographer across the creative industry. Lindsay is a professional fashion photographer, Canon Explorer of Light, author of five books, and an online educator. You can find her work everywhere from Elle to Marie Claire, and she’s the brainchild behind many of the fashion world’s most iconic spreads.

Tiffany Nguyen | @tiffpenguin

Tiffany Nguyen, better known as @tiffpenguin on Instagram, is a dentist by day, and renowned adventure travel photographer by night, weekends, off-days—and just about every second in between. Tiffany, part of the Sony Imaging Collective, captivates her over 380,000 Instagram followers with breathtaking outdoor scenes brought to scale through creative framing. She’s photographed everywhere from Utah to Iceland and Vietnam to Vermont, although it’s hard to beat the captures from this Californian’s “local” national park, Yosemite. In fact, Tiffany has an entire virtual workshop about landscape photography centered on Yosemite.

Commercial and portrait photographer Roxy Rodriguez splits her time between Los Angeles and New York. She creates colorful, out-of-the-box imagery that not only pops off the screen, but helps her clients, both companies and individuals, meet their goals and engage fans and followers. Roxy’s main mission as a photographer is to inspire the viewer. And, as her vibrant portfolio shows, she does this through color, lighting, scene-setting, and so much more!

Photography isn’t new to Emily Teague; she picked up her first camera at age 16 in small-town Northern California. Her career has grown wildly since that first snap! She started with portrait photography, moved into imaginative shoots with creative makeup, and ultimately found her way to her true calling: fashion photography. She hit the ground running as a fashion photographer—and this bold creative hasn’t looked back!

Vanessa Joy is another name the 42West community knows well! Vanessa has also been celebrated across the photography industry since 2002; her creative work ranges from photographing couples to writing books and inspiring and educating fellow photographers across the globe. Her photo business is focused on Dallas, Austin, New Jersey, and the New York City area. As a Canon Explorer of Light and Profoto Legend of Light, she also helps photography professionals succeed in their businesses.
