Not an easy task, considering there are tens of thousands of goodies to choose from.

GoPro HERO 4 Black
GoPro is the granddaddy of action cameras, but the Hero4 Black is the best GoPro to date. It can also capture 12MP stills, has ports for external microphones for outstanding sound, and Wi-Fi for remote operation via mobile device. Epson SC-P800 Photo Printer
A pro printer that can handle print media up to 17 inches wide, the Epson SC-P800 uses 9 individual cartridges, including four different kinds of blacks, and claims the deepest blacks on the market. Epson says the combination of its inks and glossy paper will last over 60 years. An 180-nozzle print head produces droplets of 3.5pl, with overall print resolution of 2880x1440dpi. Wi-Fi is available so you can print remotely from your camera or smart phone.

It’s a full-featured Windows 10 PC that’s light and portable, but with a touchscreen interface and a graphics pen. However, Microsoft has also improved the keypad, which is sold separately but highly recommended, making the keys and trackpad larger and easier to type on. The Surface Pro 4 has a 12.3-inch PixelSense screen, packs a 6th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, and has both front- and rear-facing cameras. If you’re on the go and need a full-fledged but compact computer, this should be on your short list.

Bushnell 8×42 Legend HD Binocular
One of the most popular binoculars out there, the Bushnell 8×42 Legend HD Binocular is designed by and for hunters, and is considered a great value for both hunters and birders. Leica Q
If you aspire to own a Leica M digital rangefinder but the pricetag (which can reach nearly $10,000, once you’ve added a lens) puts it out of reach, consider the Leica Q. It is a self-contained camera with a fast, built-in Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH lens and the same 24MP full-frame CMOS sensor found on the Leica M Typ 240. It has an electronic viewfinder instead of an optical rangefinder system, but you can always add a matched optical viewfinder if you don’t want the black-out at the moment of exposure. Its ISO range tops out at 50,000, and its silent electronic shutter goes up to 1/16000 sec. The icing on the cake? The lens has a focus tab, which for many potential users, may seal the deal.
Sony Alpha A6000
A great camera for aspiring street photographers as well as a nice, compact companion for travel image capture, the Sony Alpha A6000 offers outstanding bang for the buck. It is one of the least expensive MILCs to provide an eye-level viewfinder, has a highly-rated 25MP APS sensor, and takes the entire Sony line of E-mount lenses plus Alpha lenses via an adapter. Olympus Air A01 16MP Micro Four Thirds Lens-Style Mirrorless Digital Camera Body with 14-42mm

All the basics for an aspiring digital filmmaker or still photographer is in this neat little package. The Nikon D610 is Nikon’s budget-priced 35mm-sensor camera with a 24MP sensor, one of the industry’s best. It offers rugged construction, and a bright pentaprism viewfinder. Focusing uses Nikon’s reliable 39-point AF system with 9 cross-type sensors, and metering is done via the 2016-RGB metering system. Video stats include 1080 at 30 or 24p. And, of course, it’s a great entry into Nikon’s world of amazing lenses; in other words, it’s a camera to grow with.
Canon PowerShot SX530 w/50x zoom
If you’re looking for a lightweight camera for travel and general photography that packs a monster zoom lens but won’t cost a bundle, check out the Canon SX530, a compact camera with a built-in 50x zoom lens. It covers the equivalent of a 24-1200mm lens on a 35mm camera, which is pretty darn amazing. Its 16MP 1/2.3-inch sensor will give you very good image quality, and it also captures full 1080p HD video. It has and electric viewfinder, a 3-inch LCD monitor, and connects to smart phones and Canon’s Connect Station CS100 image storage device via NFC and Wi-Fi wireless connectivity. And boy does it ever have image stabilization, which you’ll need at the longest zoom lengths to keep the image shake-free.
