Box came a bit dinged up but overall good. Paper performed as expected but needed to develop for longer than recommended on spec sheet in D76.

Still learning how to use this paper. Claims to be both OC and red light safe. Some fogging with the OC filter. Needs about one additional filter number to get the desired contrast I used to get with other papers. Appears that there has been a recent change in the emulsion across several paper suppliers I have used. Better than some recent experiences I have had with other brands. Still a good value for the price.

I tried this photopaper in the lab and outside in the sun. I am very pleased with my results: clarity, development times and other important factors exceeded my results. Good paper, I need more!

I liked the finish on this paper - it was easy to use, obvious which side is emulsion in darkroom. Worked well

An economical paper. Good DMax. Decent highlights. Works well with split grade printing and also works well with Polyphenol developers. And reasonably priced as well.

Become a master of monochromatic artistry with the Arista.EDU Ultra VC RC Paper, meticulously crafted for the discerning photographer who demands precision and versatility in their black and white prints. This high-quality, variable contrast, resin-coated (RC) enlarging paper boasts a glossy finish that accentuates the depth and detail of your images, making it an ideal choice for both educational settings and professional darkrooms.
The medium weight of the paper provides a substantial feel, while the polyethylene coating ensures durability and resistance to water, making handling and processing a breeze. With the ability to select from a wide range of contrast grades, similar to that of graded papers, you can achieve the exact look you desire for your photographs. The use of standard yellow and magenta colored filters, compatible with Ilford Multigrade or Kodak Polymax/Polycontrast systems, allows for seamless contrast adjustments from grade 0 through grade 5, giving you complete control over the tonal range of your prints.
The Arista.EDU Ultra VC RC Paper is optimized for use with tungsten or tungsten quartz halogen light sources, providing consistent and predictable results. The exposure process is straightforward, with consistent speed ratings across most contrast grades, ensuring that your printing process is efficient and reliable.
When it comes to darkroom safety, this paper is designed to be used with standard OC, red, or sodium vapor safelights, minimizing the risk of safelight fog and ensuring the integrity of your prints. The recommended safelight precautions ensure that your work environment is both safe and conducive to producing high-quality prints.
Processing the Arista.EDU Ultra VC RC Paper is versatile, suitable for both tray and roller transport processing machines. The paper's compatibility with any standard black and white photographic paper developer means you can stick with your preferred chemicals and workflow, with typical development times ranging from 60 to 90 seconds at 68°F (20°C).
To achieve the best results, a standard stop bath should be used following development to immediately halt the process and preserve the fixer's life. The fixing stage is equally straightforward, requiring a standard fixing solution for a duration that ensures your prints are permanent and resistant to fading.
After fixing, a brief wash in running water is all that's needed, with no requirement for hypo clearing agents or hypo eliminators. This simplified washing process not only saves time but also conserves water, making it an environmentally conscious choice.
For optimal preservation, the Arista.EDU Ultra VC RC Paper should be stored in a cool, dry place, with the option to use a freezer for prolonged storage. Careful attention to warming up times and prevention of condensation will ensure the paper maintains its quality over time.
Embrace the Arista.EDU Ultra VC RC Paper, 8x10", Glossy, 25 Sheets for your photographic endeavors and experience the exceptional clarity and development flexibility that has pleased photographers and exceeded expectations, as evidenced by glowing user reviews. Whether in the classroom or the professional studio, this paper is the perfect canvas for your black and white photography.
