This PTZ camera is engineered with a 1" CMOS sensor and a DIGIC DV 6 image processor, a powerful combination that ensures stunning 4K UHD video acquisition, precise Dual Pixel CMOS AF, and effective image stabilization.
The CR-N500's 1.0-inch 4K UHD CMOS image sensor is capable of capturing 4K UHD video at 30p and up to 60fps in Full HD, making it an excellent choice for remote and unobtrusive capture of professional productions. Its larger sensor allows for larger photosites, resulting in less noise in low-light situations and a beautiful bokeh effect with blurred backgrounds in images.
The camera's DIGIC DV 6 imaging engine ensures high sensitivity and low noise performance, yielding amazing imagery in a variety of shooting conditions. Its Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology uses a CMOS sensor that combines imaging and phase-difference AF functions for smooth and quick focusing, even during zooming, panning, or tilting.
The CR-N500 also features a Dual Pixel Focus Guide, which displays focus assist information on the screen, simplifying the focusing process when shooting in 4K UHD. Its Face Detection & Tracking feature can track the face of a subject within a frame, allowing the operator to focus on composition while the camera handles focus.
Equipped with a 15x optical zoom lens, the CR-N500 offers a wide viewing angle of 73 degrees (horizontal), capable of capturing extensive scenes in tight shooting spaces. It also features a built-in ND filter mechanism that allows the user to select from three densities: 1/4, 1/16, and 1/64, enabling rich video expression by controlling aperture values.
The CR-N500 supports Canon Log 3 and Wide DR Gamma for natural and realistic-looking images that faithfully represent the scene at hand. It also offers six preset image modes to choose from, each containing specific gamma, color space, and color matrix parameters.
For easy integration into IP streaming systems, the CR-N500 is equipped with an RJ-45 interface purposed for IP communication, supporting high-resolution videos for distribution. It also supports multiple protocols that can be utilized for video, audio, and control.
