Absolute workhorse. Everyday reliability. Super high quality. Unmatched value. I'd buy Brother equipment any time. The 6800 is there for me every day. Never a network problem (such as I've had with two other competing brands.) I give this equipment the highest recommendation!

Not able to keep up with small business needs - only a 2 person office. Would prefer color better print quality

Really Fast Scans with great quality even with default settings! It is one of the few printers left in this category that actually has direct FTP capabilities. That's much better than shackling you to a cloud service!! Print quality is great and very fast! The color display is very nice. Shortcut configurations are easy to setup. The faxing side works well. I'm very pleased with this purchase!

The Brother MFC-L6800DW All-in-One is a solidly built device that is capable of handling just about all of your copying, printing, faxing and scanning needs with ease. These days, two-sided capability is a necessity to help cut-down on paper usage and save trees. And the MFC-L6800DW has that capability built into all of its functions. The toner saver feature means that it can make more prints / copies without giving up print quality. The color display is clear and bright, and the menu system is straight forward and easy to navigate. The Brother MFC-L6800DW has more capabilities designed into it than I currently need. But in my case, these additional features future-proofs this device when it comes time that I need these features. Meaning I won't need to go out and buy yet another device with the additional features I might need at that time. They are already here in the Brother MFC-L6800DW. I bought the Brother MFC-L6800DW to replace an aging Brother MFC-9700 All-In-One that I bought new and used for 14 years. The Brother MFC-9700 worked flawlessly the entire time I owned it. In fact, I gave it to a friend of mine that is still using it today. So in my opinion, why consider another brand. I decided to go with my experience in owning the Brother MFC-9700 and bought the Brother MFC-L6800DW. And so far, based on reviews about similar machines from other manufacturers, I am glad I bought the Brother MFC-L6800DW.

I've used my 6800 for 3 years. It has all the features I need. I get great support from Brother. My computer wouldn't recognize my printer after I had worked away from home, using a different computer. I was able to go to the Brother website and download the correct drivers again.

So far it's been a great printer, I had to get a replacement because of toner specks and ghosting. Factory could do a better QC for defects.

Bought this product cause I WAS happy with my Brother HL-L3290CDW, however the color one kicked the bucket shortly after the 1 yr warranty was up, what a surprise?? Tried to rectify problem with Tech support, no help as of yet, so I'll reserve my usual 5 stars until the problem with the other is solved

I would give this print 5 stars except for two issues I have. 1. the low paper warning goes of too soon. I wish I can set what the low level should be. 2. When I print a label the fuser does not get hot enough for the toner to stick to the first label, so I have to print the label twice. Other than that the printed page output is fast

Always use HP. Because of the larger paper input tray I reluctantly tried it. It was a good choice.

This is the second printer of this type that I have had in my small business. The first one lasted 4 years. This MFC-L6800DW is even better. It does everything but print color. Great for a business.

We are long time Brother Laser MFC users. Our first unit of the current generation is the L6800DW. Also purchased the LT5500 lower paper tray. This did not last long before the paper handler could no longer grab sheet from the lower tray. The printer lasted through atleast 3-4 of the TN880's. I was not sure what the meaningful differences were between the 6700, 6800, and 6900's, aside from Max MDC and Recommended MPV. The 6900 was very expensive. For the second and third units, I went with the 6700's. Afterwards, I noticed that the 6800 was great at printing to labels with adhesive. The 6700 tended to smear a little. Is this an inherent trait of each model or did I get lucky on the 6800?

It is a great improvement from what we had. I am still having an issue with the scanner falling off the network (or I just have not figured out in the setup what needs to happen. But other than that it works as advertised and is a wonderful machine.

Happy with everything except a malfunctioning ink cartridge. The cartridge must have been bad and has nothing to do with the machine itself.

The print quality is good, and the scan and fax features work as advertised. That being said, I will never buy another Brother product. The original printer started wrinkling pages toward the end of the warranty period and was replaced by Brother under warranty with no hassles. Fortunately, I bought the extended warranty because I am now on printer number 4 or 5. All have needed replacing because the refurbished units they replaced my new printer with wrinkle pages during printing or have some other issue. Their customer service is good, but their printers are junk. Please, do yourself a favor and buy a different brand. I wish I had.

Bought this unit to replace a copier machine that had scan to email functionality and a fax machine. This was a perfect fit for our office: small enough to sit on a desk and easy to set up on our network. The paper capacity is sufficient so that we aren't refilling it constantly. Toner usage is minimal: maybe we've had to replace it once in two years? One issue we've experienced is that sometimes the touchscreen does not come back on after the unit has gone to sleep. Pressing the Home button sometimes brings it back up, but occasionally the printer has to be power cycled. Not a huge concern. The other thing that bothers me a bit is that autofeed scans are never straight. They are always slightly crooked relative to the original document.

Great printer at a great price
By RCPilotMD
We replaced a very expensive leased Canon with this printer. The monthly capital cost + consumables is about 20% the cost of the lease. Even if I have to replace this printer in a year, it will still be less than the leased machine. And, I'm locking myself into a multi-year lease.
