Works Great!
I am using this docking station with a Dell Latitude 5590 laptop and two older
Dell monitors connect to the docking station with two display port cables. While the instructions were minimal, everything when together easily and more importantly everything has been working perfectly for the two weeks I've owned it.

Works great - be aware of monitor limitations
The WD19s work much better than the old WD15s. The connections are better and it powers the laptops just fine. Draw back is that the dock cannot handle 2 QHD monitors - like the P2418D monitor.

Not the most useful ports for a dock...
They sort of work. But for the price, it needs more USB ports, and it would be really nice if it had HDMI ports not display port for video.

Short on USB 3.0 Ports
The unit has 3 USB 3.0 and 2 USB-C ports. As soon as you connect a keyboard, a mouse , and a printer you have no USB 3.0 ports available to connect other devices such as headphones.

Great docking station, but could be improved
I like the additional ports offered on the docking station; however, the USB-C connector has a tendency to be stressed because it comes straight out of the computer. It would be better if there were a 90 degree bend so that the cable routed toward the back of the computer.

Should include an HDMI cable
Works great, but does not ship with an HDMI cable, which is necessary to connect to a monitor.

Wish they still made the drop on docks
Not as space saving as the drop down docks of old. Works fine, but really needs more USB ports. Video is clear on dual monitors.

Powers my laptop with no need for additional power cable!
Solid dock appliance and though I wish it had more USB ports it is excellent for the price. I LOVE being able to plug in my laptop with one cable and get right to work.

Works mostly as advertised
The dock mostly functions as advertised. It takes a while to get used to the Display Port topology and scaling, even after several driver updates, the scaling is incorrect in several areas. The dock is pretty finicky, often requiring several plug-in attempts.

Where did my USB-A ports go?
The reduced USB-A ports from the previous dock 15 is...limiting. We don't have many peripherals that are USB-C based.

USB-C plug drags down an otherwise great dock
The dock looks sleek and impressive, and has plenty of ports - USB in particular. The one big down-side is the USB-C output cable - it has a flimsy connector and slight bumps to the dock, the cable or the attached laptop will result in the plug disconnecting.
While delivering laptop power directly is a nice benefit, eliminating one more power brick on the desk, the USB-C adapter design makes it fragile and unreliable.

Great addition for the computer
I replaced an old J5Creative docking bar that wasn't the easiest to use. Love the WD 19 130W!

Fans and port changes
First dock that I am aware of that needs a fan. Another traditional USB port would be nice. I dont know why they switched to mini-diplay port only to switch back a couple years later. Forced us to re-buy adapters. The VGA port is missed occasionally.

Needed to replace after a couple of weeks.
One of the monitor ports failed after a few days, the second one worked. Dell replaced it very quickly.

Ease of setup and operation.
Plugged it into numerous configurations, multiple displays, wireless mouse, etc and it just worked with the dell model 3500 laptops we ordered. So easy to have the dock just find all the devices through Win 10 and never had to install one driver.

Compatibility with Vostro 5581 laptop
I'm using it with a Vostro 5581 laptop, which, according to Dell sales department, is supposed to be compatible with the WD 19. However, the power button has not worked to turn on the laptop on the first unit I received nor the replacement unit I have now. I was also having trouble with the internet connection being interrupted, which I was able to fix with the BIOS update Dell recommended. All other aspects of the unit are working just fine, and I do like the ease of the USB-C connection to the laptop - very convenient and flexible!
