A dedicated, economical, and highly reliable printer. A workhorse machine that I can always count on to work properly and produce an excellent copy. Never lets me down.

The new printer is a big improvement over the one it replaced. It is fast and prints clearly. It is a little loud but not bad.

Great Worker

This machine is awesome.  Each month, I print 180 copies of our VFW Post's newsletter.  It consists of 6 pages.  I print 5 copies at a time and let the unit cool a bit before continuing.  It works flawlessly and prints beautifully.

Overall, pleased, but driver was a bit problematic, and didn’t print double sided until we found a way to fix that.  Strange click at start and stop.   Small delay before print start.  Good footprint, great print quality, good speed, as advertised.   Miss my old HP 4000, 4050 printers.

I have only printed a few pages so too early to tell about quality. But easy to unpack and connect and looks good and prints nicely.

These little printers are workhorses. They just keep on working and providing crisp clear images to our customers. The price point is awesome.

Great Value and function

We've printed only 2 A4's thus far and they came out good.
Packaging of the product is outstanding. It's very thoughtful that the printer itself is placed in a plastic bag with two handles: removing the printer from the box is easy.
But please be mindful of your posture when you lift the printer from the box because of the printer's weight.

One of the most important features that was mentioned on Amazon was the Airprint capability but I have not yet figured out a way how to do it and neither did the support.

Despite following cleaning and maintenance instructions, toners spots appear on printed sheets although using the originally equiped toner and cylinder.

This printer is a real workhorse, especially with the heavy duty printer cartridge. Very fast, easy to use, excellent print quality.

Great everyday printer

Overall happy with product. Mine is a simple USB cable set up and setting it up was a breeze. The only issue so far happened when it didn't print on command. I went to the printer icon inside my control setting command on my desktop. I opened 'troubleshoot' and the unit worked through and fixed the problem. No other problems since. The only other thing is that I wish the documents I print would come out of the machine a little further, a minor gripe.

Had one just like it and replaced it after it failed after quite a few years.

I have this printer for about 2 months. So far, it is working good. My previous printers Brother HL-L6200DW (I had 2 is a great nightmare. Both failed after couple months and always printed out dirty pages. I changed the drum unit and clean and not helping. Anyway, I am happy with HL-L5100DN for now.

Performs as advertised. Brother has an excellent support staff & stands behind its printer & toner cartridges. Highly recommended.

Fast & Efficient

Since Pitney Bowes technician install the printer in January 23, 2020 into the computer system, it has been working well and printing is lot better than what it use to be, here at TCEQ are very satisfied of the outcome in the printing.

Love the ease of use!

You will notice many reviews talking about spotting on pages that goes away after multiple prints. We bought 5 of these printers for our business, 3 of them developed this issue. after hours of troubleshooting and RMA'ing parts from brother (i've had dental work that was less painful than their support team I've narrowed down the issue to a manufacturing defect in the toner cartridges. the two of this model that have not yet malfunctioned use an older cartridge that has a solid green handle. the newer printers we ordered have a black handle with a green sticker on them, and the 4 toner cartridges (bought another new one) all developed a toner leaking issue. I would recommend not buying official brother toner or new old stock with the older style cartridge as the current cartridge they sell has a major defect they don't seem interested in fixing.

My existing laser printer stopped working (it wasn't a Brother printer. I checked reviews online and ordered one from Amazon.com. I'm very pleased with the software installation and support by Windows 10 Pro, the speed, and the ease of selecting options (page orientation, duplex printing, etc.), print speed, and paper capacity. The price was reasonable, too.

Top quality for a reasonable price

This machine prints quickly and quietly. But, it is pure heck to get it to print an envelope.  Worst machine I have ever had and I print ALOT of envelopes. I have had to resort to printing labels and sticking them on envelopes.
