Enhance your digital photography and cinematography experience with the 5 x 5" Water White Glass Full Spectrum IRND 1.2 (4-Stop) Filter from Tiffen. As digital motion picture cameras and imaging devices replace traditional film, the need for high-quality filters to control light and depth of field has become increasingly critical. This Tiffen filter is designed to meet these demands, offering a versatile solution for a wide range of lighting conditions.
The filter's neutral density feature is specifically designed to control light exposure, particularly in bright situations where digital imaging devices can easily be overexposed. Unlike traditional ND filters made with dyes, this Tiffen filter extends light transmission characteristics into the infrared region of the spectrum, effectively combating IR pollution that can adversely affect image quality and color rendition.
The Full Spectrum IRND 1.2 (4-Stop) Filter is designed to provide true neutral density into the IR spectrum, correcting color shifts and maintaining color balance even when using heavier densities. This makes it an essential tool for cinematographers using cameras like the Sony F and EX Series, ARRI Alexa, or Panavision Genesis.
The Tiffen Full Spectrum IRND Filters are also compatible with the Tiffen Clear Hot Mirror for Digital Motion Picture Cameras using a CMOS chip sensor, which does not use an internal IR Blocking filter. This combination fully combats near and far IR pollution across the range, ensuring optimal image quality.
Manufactured using Tiffen's proprietary lamination process, the filter captures each effect between two pieces of water white glass, which are then ground and polished to achieve perfect parallelism. This ensures worry-free handling for the cinematographer and guarantees the durability and reliability of the filter.
Available in a variety of sizes, the 5 x 5" Water White Glass Full Spectrum IRND 1.2 (4-Stop) Filter is a versatile and high-quality addition to your photography and cinematography equipment, designed to enhance your image capturing capabilities and deliver superior results.
